New Energy Concept

Berlin, 6 June 2011: Following the reactor accident in Fukushima and after consultations with the Nuclear Safety Commission and the new Ethical Commission, the Federal Government has decided on the phasing-out of nuclear energy in Germany until 2022. Enhancing energy efficiency and an increased use of renewable energies will be flanked by climate protection measures in eight acts of law.
